We move and we shake. We've gone to great lengths to connect with elite organizations and trade associations. We've been nominated for awards, competed in contests and applied for memberships. Below is a snapshot of the fruits of our labor.
CertificationsThe Women's Business Enterprise National Council was created to connect large organizations with supplier diversity initiatives with women-owned businesses. Meridian's certification is valid through September 30th, 2010 and is renewed annually.
Meridian is certified as a Local Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (LDBE) with the Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority (MWAA). This program is designed to ensure that Small Businesses have an equitable opportunity to participate in DOT's procurement programs and that they receive a fair share of the resulting contract awards. Our certification is valid through April 19, 2013.
The National Women Business Owners Corporation has recognized Meridian each year since 2001 as meeting all necessary requirements of the NWBOC program for certification as a woman-owned and woman-controlled business.
Meridian is also SWaM certified through The Virginia Department of Minority Business Enterprise (DMBE). This certification program is designed to facilitate business between small, women- and minority-owned organizations and state government entities. Our SWaM certification is valid through April 16th, 2012.
Our solutions experts have Certified Document Imaging Architect (CDIA+) certifications. This certification is an international, vendor-neutral certification that tests expertise in the technologies and best practices used to plan, design, and specify a document imaging management system. The industry recognizes the CDIA+ certification as a consistent, objective way to evaluate imaging industry professionals.
The Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE) certification validates proven experience and knowledge in using Microsoft Products and solutions and demonstrates advanced skills in designing, installing, configuring, and troubleshooting network systems.
We are a member of the Business Technology Association, an international trade association of office technology dealers, value-added resellers and manufacturers, distributors, wholesalers, service companies and publishers.
Also a member of the Business Products Council (BPCA), Meridian belongs to an exclusive peer group of office equipment and document solutions dealers dedicated to enhancing the industry. Through the exchange of ideas, benchmarking, knowledge and business strategies, BPCA members foster an innovative approach to business technologies.
Meridian is in our first phase of converting to an employee-owned company. The ESOP Association is a resource for Meridian regarding employee stock ownership plans (ESOPs) education and advocacy. Currently, 15% of Meridian shares are in the ESOP.
OfficeDEALER magazine awarded Meridian with "Elite Dealer" status, which is their "annual salute to the industry's best and brightest" office product dealerships. Meridian has been named an "ELITE dealer" for five consecutive years.
Inc. magazine's acclaimed annual list of America's fastest-growing private companies, the Inc. 5000, named Meridian as one of their 5,000 dynamic businesses in 2010. This is the third time Meridian has appeared on this list since 2007.
The Washington Business Journal has recognized Meridian on multiple occasions for awards and nominations such as Top Performing Woman-Owned Businesses, Largest Office Equipment Dealerships, Largest Office Retailers, Largest Woman-Owned Companies, Fastest Growing Businesses and more.
Meridian CEO Terri Sullivan has been named a Smart100 CEO by Washington's SmartCEO magazine in 2010, for the second consecutive year. The April 2007 issue of Washington's SmartCEO magazine featured Meridian CFO, Laura Smith, in the Profiles of Financial Excellence section. In January of 2006, the magazine named Meridian Imaging Solutions as one of 2005 "Future 50" Winners, featuring Terri Sullivan.
